An Erasmus+ Project Transforming Learning Through Play and Technology

Create Future Gaming – Gaming ZONE is an Erasmus+ KA210-SCH project dedicated
to innovating education through gamification, STEAM, and digital tools.
Implemented between September 2023 and August 2025, the project unites five
institutions from Spain, Romania, Türkiye, and the Czech Republic with a shared
mission: to bring joy back to learning and enhance student performance through
modern, interactive, and engaging methods.
Project Goals
The project addresses real educational needs identified across all partner
schools: decreased student motivation after the pandemic, excessive screen
time, socialization difficulties, and a lack of confidence in STEM subjects,
especially among girls.
Through a rich set of activities, the project aims to:
• Develop teachers’ competencies in gamification and innovative teaching.
• Improve students' performance in STEAM through hands-on, game-based
learning.
• Increase girls’ participation in science and technology activities.
• Strengthen students’ emotional intelligence and social skills.
• Promote inclusion and participation of students with fewer opportunities.
More than 80% of teachers involved will develop advanced gamification skills,
and 90% of students will improve their practical STEAM abilities through
project-based activities.
The Partnership
The project is coordinated by Colegio P. Andrés de Urdaneta (Spain), with
active contribution from:
• Scoala Gimnaziala Nr. 11 Buzău (Romania)
• Asociatia Integrare Europeana (Romania)
• Istanbul Ticaret Odasi Bilim ve Sanat Merkezi (Türkiye)
• Základní škola a Mateřská škola Moravská Havířov-Šumbark (Czech Republic)
Each partner brings unique expertise—technology, nonformal education, VR,
programming, STEAM, emotional intelligence, and innovative pedagogy—creating a
powerful European educational consortium.
Key Activities
The project integrates physical, digital, and creative learning experiences:
• International training events for teachers and students
• Workshops on Virtual Reality, coding, and Web2Tools
• STEAM-based missions and outdoor educational games
• An e-learning platform: STEAM & GAMIFICATION
• An international e-book featuring modern teaching strategies
• A digital library with games and VR learning resources
The project also promotes cross-cultural collaboration, teamwork, creativity,
and communication among students aged 10–14.
Impact
Create Future Gaming – Gaming ZONE contributes to:
• Better motivation and engagement in learning
• Higher performance in science and technology subjects
• Enhanced creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration
• Reduced gender gaps in STEM
• Digital transformation in partner schools
• Stronger European cooperation between educational institutions
More than 400 students and 30 teachers will directly benefit from the project,
and its long-term impact will continue through the digital resources and
innovative teaching practices implemented in schools.
By integrating play, creativity, and digital tools, the project prepares
today’s learners for tomorrow’s world—one where technology and imagination work
together to shape future opportunities.
